Tampa General Medical Group Opens Brandon Office

Tampa General Medical Group celebrated the opening of a new office in Brandon on May 1st.

Located at the corner of Oakfield and Lakewood Drives in Brandon, the Tampa General Medical Group Brandon Office aims to provide medical care for the entire family — from infants to grandparents — in an approximately 9,500-square-foot building situated at 214 Morrison Road.

Currently, the offices house two family practice physicians and can staff up to five.

“Hopefully we’ll be growing pretty quick,” says Director of Patient Services Jana Gardner. “Ultimately, we want to have a pretty decent sized practice in a location that’s convenient for our patients with easy access to the Interstate and the Crosstown Expressway.”

The Brandon office physicians will provide a range of healthcare services from immunizations and treatment of childhood illnesses to management of chronic health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. The physicians will also perform in-office procedures and gynecological services.

“We want to make sure the folks out in the community we serve have access to Tampa General and we thought the best way to do that was to put the doctors where the patients are,” Gardner says. “We’re really just trying to get out into the community to provide some good services and become a [bigger] part of the Tampa Bay community.”
