Photo Slideshow: Safari Chopper, St. Petersburg

Where can you order lunch or dinner, jump on a helicopter, take a buzz around the city and return in time to find your order waiting? Safari Chopper outside the Hangar Restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg.

In the film ā€œPulp Fiction,ā€ Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) remarks to Vincent Vega (John Travolta),
ā€œDon’t you just love it when you come back from the bathroom and find your food waiting for you?ā€

Agreed, but better yet, how about returning to your table from a helicopter spin around the city to find your food waiting for you?

It may sound like a scene out of a movie, but it’s a reality at the Albert Whited Airport in St. Petersburg. The Hangar Restaurant has teamed up with Safari Chopper to offer this unique experience. You can order your meal, then jump on a helicopter for a flight over downtown St. Pete or Tampa Bay, and when you return, voila! your food is ready.

It’s a great mini adventure for the family, a way to show off the city to out-of-town guests, or a unique experience for date night. Prepare for takeoff!
