Dallas’ Beck Group Joins USF And Team Florida In Solar Decathlon

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon competition to build the world’s best solar-powered house is well underway in Florida.

Team Florida — consisting of architecture, energy and engineering students and faculty from the University of South Florida, University of Central Florida, Florida State University and the University of Florida — recently received support from Dallas-based builder The Beck Group.

The full-service builder — with offices in Tampa, Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Fort Worth, Houston, Mexico City and San Antonio — has LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and will assist Team Florida in bringing its FLeX House concept to life.
