Victorian Etiquette Rules Tampa Christmas Stroll

Victorian etiquette rules will be on display for the first time as the 28th annual Victorian Christmas Stroll begins today, Dec. 1, and lasts until Wednesday, Dec. 23. The Henry Plant Museum offers the popular Tampa tradition from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Attendees will experience an old-fashioned holiday Christmas in Victorian-style surroundings with music, Charles Dickens, Christmas stockings, handmade fashions from LaFrance, Jezabelle and Her Wandering Gypsies, and Old Saint Nick. The museum’s Sports and Amusements Room will feature golf, fishing and hunting collections from 1925, and Victorian undergarments, bloomers, camisoles and cover-ups will be shown in the Parlor Bedroom.

The Victorian etiquette rules were added throughout the museum to spark conversation and amusement by stroll visitors.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Discount days are Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15, when admissions are reduced to $6 for adults and $3 for children. Complimentary spiced cider and cookies are served on the veranda daily, along with evening carolers. Proceeds benefit museum restoration and preservation projects, and educational programming.
