Startups compete for top spot in Bright House pitch competition
Five local Tampa Bay area businesses are competing to win a combined $1 million in prizes from the Bright House Regional Business Awards. Finalists pitch their business ideas before a panel of judges on Jan 26, 2016; winners will be annouced Feb. 11 at the Regional Business Awards Gala.
Five startup companies formed in the Tampa Bay area have been selected from a pool of more than 30 small businesses to compete as finalists in the Bright House Networks Pitch 6 competition.

The annualĀ Bright House Networks Regional Business AwardsĀ recognize a number of regional companies in categories for startups, mid-size, small and large businesses. The Pitch 6 competition serves as the final phase in selecting a winner for theĀ Start-up Category of the awards.

Bright House Networks partners with local and regional Chambers of Commerce, including those in Hillsborough, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas and surrounding counties, to select local businesses and startups for recognition in the awards program each year.

The Tampa Pitch 6 startup competition will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. onĀ Tuesday, January 26, at theĀ Straz Centerās Jaeb TheaterĀ in downtown Tampa. AĀ post-show reception will immediately follow.
Winners of theĀ āshark tank styleā eventĀ will be announcedĀ on February 11th at the communication companyās Regional Business Awards Gala, where up to $1 million in prizes and services will be awarded to winners across the four categories.
