TIBA Says Shop Local
Big box stores may overshadow many locally owned businesses in terms of size, but when it comes to economic impact on the surrounding community, the mom-and-pop shops win, hands down. A recent article on the site Creative Tampa Bay suggests that doing most of your Christmas shopping at locally-owned businesses will keep substantially more money within the local economy. This is why the Tampa Independent Business Alliance is encouraging you to participate in America Unchained on Saturday,H November 21. That day, participants will do all shopping, dining out and other weekend activities at locally-owned businesses.
