President Honors 6 Tampa Bay Colleges For Service
President Obama’s selection for the Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll 2010 includes six Tampa Bay area universities.
The list, comprised of 511 colleges, is the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for community service.
Honored schools include Florida Southern College, The University of Tampa, Eckerd College, Ringling College of Art and Design, Saint Leo University and the University of South Florida.
This is the fourth year in a row FSC, Ringling, and UT have made the list. Eckerd and SLU are on the list for a third year and USF for its second.
