Couple Rehabs Tampa Buildings, Preserves History

You can tell a lot about a city by the way it treats its old buildings. Though many know it as an epicenter of new condo development, the Tampa Bay area has a rich and colorful history. Along with this history comes a great number of historic buildings. While some have fallen into disrepair, others, like downtown St. Petersburg’s Williams and Snell Houses, have become symbols of neighborhood revival. Hernando Beach-based Preservation Resource, a small consulting firm, recently rehabbed a number of Ybor City homes as part of a Florida Department of Transportation effort to beautify the I-4 corridor.
Tampa blog Sticks of Fire recently featured an interview with Jo-Anne Peck and Craig DeRoin, the married couple that launched the company.
