Video: Patel Conservatory, Tampa
Black box theater, dance, music, costume design, lighting and stage building, web graphics, filmmaking. Those are just a few of the artsy inspirations being absorbed by students of all ages pursuing their passions at the Patel Conservatory in downtown Tampa. Watch and listen as faculty members describe the significance of studying the arts not only for individuals but for the larger community in terms of growing minds, confidence and engagement with others who may be different, challenged in unique circumstances or simply in need of friendship and positive example.
Wendy Leigh, the Patel Conservatory’s vice president of education, and other faculty members recognize the value to the community in fostering participation in the arts for people of all ages, abilities and attitudes.
The Patel Conservatory next to the Straz Center for the Performing Arts on the Tampa Riverwalk offers classes and performances year-round.
