Tampa Bay Home, Condo Sales Up
The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that Florida as a whole saw a 33 percent increase in home sales in the third quarter over the same period last year.
Sarasota-Bradenton led the Tampa Bay region in increased home sales, with 32 percent more sales in the third quarter of this year over that of 2008 – 2,300 over the 1,758 homes sold in 2008’s third quarter.
With 6,800 home sales in this year’s third quarter, Tampa-St. Pete-Clearwater saw a 20 percent boost in home sales over last year. The Tampa Bay Business Journal also notes that home prices continue to drop in Tampa Bay and in Florida as a whole.
