USF Health Eyes Sarasota Memorial For Cardiovascular Regeneration Research

The University of South Florida’s College of Medicine has its sights set on a groundbreaking partnership with Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

A $50 million facility based in Tampa would be the site of cardiovascular research focusing on stem cell regeneration.

USF Health Chief of Cardiology Dr. Leslie W. Miller and Dr. Stephen Klasko, dean of the College of Medicine, are leading the project and reaching out to Sarasota Memorial to begin joint clinical research, according to the Sarasota Herald Tribune.
