C-SPAN Explores History Of Tampa, St. Pete

The history and literature of the Tampa Bay area recently received a national platform.

C-SPAN selected the Tampa/St. Petersburg area as the first stop on its 2011 LCV Cities Tour.

C-SPAN 2’s Book TV toured Haslam’s Book Store in St. Pete and Inkwood Books in Tampa. Authors Donald Green, David Lee McMullen and Scott Deitche were interviewed for their books, along with former St. Petersburg Times book editor Margo Hammond.

C-SPAN 3’s American History TV explores the history of Theodore Roosevelt and the Rough Riders at the Tampa Bay Hotel, the Cow Cavalry during the Civil War, Jose Marti Park and the first commercial aviation flight in St. Petersburg.
