South Florida Museum’s think + drink program allows for an educational and edible experience. Located in Bradenton, South Florida Museum also houses the Bishop Planetarium and Parker Manatee Aquarium.

On Wed, Nov. 18, in Bishop Planetarium, Dr. Anthony Provenzano, retired professor of Zoology from the University of Miami, will host a discussion about the promise of aquaculture to feed the growing global population and potential consequences of farming the oceans. Admission to the program is free and light snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

Also in the program is think + drink (culture), South Florida Museum’s newest monthly program celebrating the music, food and personality of different cultures. Taking place throughout the museum, attendees will have a fun way to interact with their community while experiencing and exploring other cultures.

The second culture stop on the program is Hawaii on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 6-10 p.m. Traditional Hawaiian cuisine will be available for purchase, as well as beer and wine, and attendees will also enjoy South Sea Island music and hula dancing. Admission for the event is $5. South Florida Museum, Bishop Planetarium and Parker Manatee Aquarium are located at 201 W. 10th St. in Bradenton.
