Senior Management Advisors, which maintains its headquarters in Clearwater, operates 12 full-service independent living, assisted living and Alzheimer’s care residential communities in Florida and Georgia.

Over the past year, the group has acquired and/or opened communities in St. Petersburg, Altamonte Springs and Melbourne. Most recently, SMA announced that they are the new owners of Plantation Oaks Senior Living Residence, a senior living community serving the greater Gainesville area.

With all of the growth the company has had throughout Florida, the corporate office in Clearwater will need staff to support all the facilities. In 2011, we plan to hire and fill six new positions at the corporate office in Clearwater,” says SMA President Steven Piazza.

Positions at the Clearwater office include marketing, HR, accounting and administration, he says.

“Our best strategic business decision has been to remain a regionally focused, hands-on manager with a flat management tier that allows for quick and responsive decision-making, unlike national operators,” Piazza says. “We also see tremendous demand for Alzheimer’s and dementia care and plan to be an industry leader in services for these residents.”

“While technology and advanced programming techniques are important to that goal, we firmly believe in the heart of our success will come from providing great care, great customer service and a warm home-like environment that resident and families can enjoy.”

Senior Management Advisors corporate headquarters are at 13770 58th St. N. in Clearwater.
