For Good: Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation to build new ball park in Sulphur Springs

Sulphur Springs is a neighborhood that is experiencing a rebirth after years of neglect brought on by people engaged in illegal drugs and criminal behavior. The latest good news is a new ball park that the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation and the city of Tampa plan to build at Springhill Park Community Center.

YMCA plans 3-pool aquatics center in South Tampa

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is in an expansion mode. It's latest project is the Carol Kennedy Aquatics Center which is under construction at the South Tampa Family YMCA on Himes Avenue. Earlier this year a new gymnastics center opened in Carollwood at the Bob Sierra YMCA Youth & Family Center. The first phase of a new South Shore YMCA facility is under construction at Interstate 75 and Big Bend Road.
