The
Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that, according to U.S. Department of Transportation statistics, international travel is up at Tampa International Airport this year.
From January through June of 2009. 19,306 international travelers passed through the airport, which is a 404 percent increase over the same period last year.
The U.S. DOT ranks the airport 39th in volume of international travel. Miami International Airport ranks first in the nation.
