Stetson Student Wins Civil Liberties Prize

Stetson Law student Stephen Farkas was recently recognized by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Lambda Legal Society for his paper "Bringing Marriage Equality to the United States from Abroad: An Analysis of How Judicial Decisions from Canada Have Helped Achieve Marriage for Some, and Given Hope to Others."

Paper topics focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered individuals in the relation to the law, and the issues LGBT community members often face. The award comes with $500 and an opportunity to be published in an ACLU publication.
