The University of South Florida recently took part in a yearly nationwide competition to reduce, reuse and recycle waste on college campuses known as RecycleMania, started in 2001.
USF took 25th among 199 national colleges in
RecyleMania's "Waste Minimization" category, and was the 2nd most productive college in Florida with 20.80 cumulative pounds of recycled material per person during the week of March 21 to March 27.
