The New York Times recently featured an interview with Home Shopping Network Chief Executive Officer Mindy Grossman, who discussed her unique approach to leading a company.
Grossman told the Times that she seeks to eliminate fear from manager-employee relationships at HSN's St. Petersburg headquarters. Grossman went on to describe her approach to hiring as well as how she sees the playing ground as more level than most managers. She cited her decision to undergo the company's orientation program for new employees – a move that generated a lot of buzz in her first few days with the company.
