Eric Stewart, a student at the Tarpon Springs campus of St. Petersburg College, is using permaculture to grow his
own food forest for the community.
Stewart organized The Sustainability Club on his campus and has enlisted the help of student volunteers to help him build, plant and care for the acre of land.
The land will hopefully provide tens of thousands of pounds of fruit and vegetables when it is fully matured, according to the article.
