Fort Myers Solar Field Powers Florida Gulf Coast University

Details of Florida Gulf Coast University's new solar field are featured in a recent Florida Trend article. The $14 million field covers 15 acres near Fort Myers, consists of 16 solar arrays and is designed to last a minimum of 20 years.

The university estimates it will save around $700,000 in electricity costs a year.
