A residence in the Snell Isle neighborhood of St. Petersburg recently collected a total of 5 Aurora design awards, including a Grand Award for Water-Wise Home.
The Aurora Awards, a Southeast Building Conference design competition, recognized the work of St. Pete-based architect Jimmy Brattain for his work on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (
LEED) Platinium certified house.
Features like its native landscaping, 28 solar panels and utilization of 80 percent of the rainwater collected from the roof make this residence the "greenest" home in the state.
