Sarasota's Ringling Museum Wins Award For Excellence In Publication Design

The American Association of Museums announced Sarasota's Ringling Museum of Art as the recipient of the 2010 Frances Smyth-Ravenel Prize for Excellence in Publication Design.

The award, selected by a panel of judges that include graphic designers, museum professionals and publishers, is for the Ringling's publication of "Circus: The Photographs of Frederick W. Glasier."

Selected photographs will also be used in an upcoming exhibition at the museum titled "Heyday," according to a recent photography feature in The New York Times.
