Renovation of downtown St. Petersburg’s Hampton Inn & Suites is complete.

Originally opened in 2003, the 65,978-square-foot hotel, located at 80 Beach Dr. N.E., renovated its entire first floor public area under a new management company, Highpointe Hotel Corporation.

Addressing guest needs beyond traditional breakfast hours, Hampton Inn & Suites’ new brand lobby concept, “Perfect Lobby Mix,” aims to create an atmosphere to facilitate socialization through enhanced seating choices and lighting.

“We were excited to be among the first to implement the new lobby design,” says Christy Manderson, Highpointe Hotel Corp.’s director of sales. “It’s important for guests to see exciting changes to the hotel as they continue to stay with us.”

In addition to the lobby improvements, the nearly 10-year-old Hampton Inn upgraded its 1,600-square-foot meeting room space, public bathrooms and kitchen area with new tile, carpet, wall vinyl, paint, draperies, furniture and artwork.

“A renovation always adds an air of excitement and new beginning — the hotel is an ideal location, providing wonderful service to the St. Pete area,” says Manderson. “We’ll now have a fresh new face to show to all the visitors of the area.”
