FranNet To Do Franchise Expo In Tampa Feb. 24

Like a matchmaking service for work, FranNet of Greater Tampa Bay matches potential business owners with franchises. For those interested in learning more about franchise ownership, FranNet will be hosting an expo in Tampa on Feb. 24.

“Our expo is for people who are in transition, or are currently working and looking for first time business ownership,” says Pat Deering of FranNet. “We work with people who want to be business owners, assess their skills and then match them up with a franchise opportunity. Business ownership is not for everybody, we help people determine if it is right for them.”

Several businesses at the expo will be seeking potential franchise owners in the Tampa Bay region. Industries represented at the expo include senior care, temporary staffing, real estate services and commercial cleaning.

Deering says representatives will talk about their concept, what it takes to be successful and detail a day in the life of a franchise owner working in respective industries. After the franchise presentations, attendees will have an opportunity to network with representatives to learn more about the opportunities offered and have individual questions answered. There will also be a representatives from the Small Business Administration as well as a financial services company to answer questions regarding investing in your own business.

The event is free and open to the public, however, there is limited seating, so pre-registration is required.

“We expect to have 50 attendees,” Deering says. “We keep seating limited to 50 in order to allow attendees one-on-one time with the franchise representatives.”

The Tampa Bay Franchise Business Expo will be Feb. 24 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, 4400 W. Cypress St. in Tampa.
