University of Florida prepares to launch Innovation Station in Sarasota County

The University of Florida Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering will open the first physical extension of the college’s Florida Engineering EXperiment Station (FLEXStation) in Sarasota County.

New single-family homes coming to East Tampa

13 new single-family homes are being built in East Tampa. The Beacon Homes will be constructed through the Florida Minority Impact Housing Fund (FMIHF), which was created by Neighborhood Lending Partners, a nonprofit multi-banking consortium that provides financing to developers of affordable housing and community revitalization. The Corporation to Develop Communities (CDC) of Tampa is also heavily involved in the project.
