Founded in 1987, MicroLumen, Inc. is an International leader in the manufacture of high-performance medical tubing. The primary material used is Polyimide tubing. Polyimide is a thermoset plastic that provides excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical properties. The tubing is manufactured with tighter tolerances than conventionally extruded plastic tubing. MicroLumen's diversified product line includes custom laser machining, PTFE and composite constructions, sub-assembly and braid reinforced shafts that solve specific tasks. These products are used in a wide range of low-invasive, critical applications such as cardiovascular catheters, stent deployment systems, urological retrieval devices and drug delivery.
