ALDI, an international grocery store company out of Germany that built its Florida headquarters and a $40 million 500,000-square-foot distribution center in Haines City in eastern Polk County, sells more than 1,400 of the most frequently purchased grocery and household items in non-bulk packaging. In its 2008 report, Supermarket News ranked ALDI 25th in U.S. grocery chains in terms of gross sales. More than 1,000 ALDI stores are situated primarily in the Midwest and along the East Coast.

Beall's, Inc. is the parent company of Beall's Department Stores, Inc, Beall's Outlet Stores, Inc., and Burke's Outlet Stores, Inc. The corporation, through its subsidiaries, operates over 560 retail store sites in states across the Sun Belt, from Florida to California, with annual sales over $1 billion.
