Crowdsavings.com, a "deal-of-the-day" website based in Tampa, has grown quite a bit since launching in November 2009. The website is a competitor of similar sites such as Groupon, where local businesses can advertise deals on Crowdsavings' website in order to attract more customers. CEO Chad Jaquays started with fewer than 1,700 people in his database and now has more than 100,000. In spring of 2011, crowdsavings.com expanded into the Nashville and Cleveland markets, and Jaquays expects more expansion in the future.
