Former BB&T CEO Featured On Big Think
John Allison, former chief executive officer for BB&T, the eighth-largest bank in the United States and one of the largest in Florida, recently discussed the global financial crisis on The Big Think.
The program, titled “What Went Wrong?” examined the Fed’s role in the housing bubble and the ensuing economic calamity. Allison advocated returning to the gold standard and said that the bailout actually did some harm to institutions that remained strong in the wake of the housing bubble burst.
