Andrea Rios

Andrea Rios, a senior at the University of South Florida in Tampa, is majoring in mass communications with a focus in magazine journalism. During her second semester at USF, she was part of a school partnership with ABC Action News during the 2015 Domestic Violence Campaign, where she learned about broadcast journalism and TV production; and volunteered as a reporter for one of the hosted events. She earned an associate degree in liberal arts from the State College of Florida in Bradenton in 2013. She came to the U.S. six years ago from Ecuador, where she studied English in preparation for attending college.
