Sarasota’s Siesta Beach, St. Pete = Top Destinations

St. Petersburg has been named the Top Art Destination for mid-size cities for a second year in a row.

AmericanStyle Magazine‘s readers ranked the city #1 with 26.9 percent of the vote. Tampa entered the Top 10 — rising four spots to #7. Smaller cities Sarasota and Bradenton represent Tampa Bay at positions #5 and #10, respectively.

Sarasota also received the coveted #1 ranking in Dr. Beach’s Best Beach in America list. Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman has composed an annual Top 10 list of the country’s best beaches since 1989, according to a Forbes blog by Larry Olmstead.
