University of South Florida professor Raymond Arsenault is one of many historians recently involved in opening a museum dedicated to the Freedom Riders of the Civil Rights Movement.
The Montgomery bus depot where the Freedom Riders converged with hostile mobs in 1961 was converted with the help of the Alabama Historical Commission and historians such as Arsenault, according to
The Christian Science Monitor.
The museum, which opened in May, operates Friday and Saturday from 12-4 p.m.
