Kiplinger recently released its list of cities most conducive to starting your own business based on metro population, number of small businesses, self-employed cost-of-living score, invested venture capital, patents per 10,000 residents and stand out start-ups.
Tax credits for businesses in the high-demand industries such as life sciences and sustainable energy was a contributing factor to Tampa's inclusion in the list, according to
Kiplinger.
