USF Student Wins School's First Marshall Scholarship

University of South Florida student Jean Weatherwax was recently named the recipient of the coveted postgraduate Marshall Scholarship.

The scholarship is given to fewer than 40 students a year and provides university fees, cost-of-living expenses, books, research and travel grants for up to three years of study at Imperial College-London, ranked 8th in the Times Higher Education's World University Rankings for 2011-2012.

Weatherwax's research involves work on a novel implantable glucose sensor, according to USF News.
