Watergoat Helps USF St. Pete Clean Bayboro Harbor

A $3,500 grant has made it possible for University of South Florida St. Petersburg students to continue their conservation efforts.

The grant from the Tampa Bay Estuary Program funded the installation of a second Watergoat -- a series of buoys and trash-collecting netting designed by New Earth Industries of St. Petersburg -- at Bayboro Harbor.

Students have removed 2,250 pounds of trash from the original Watergoat at Brooker Creek, according to a recent story from USF St. Pete.
