Tampa Mayor Jane Castor has announced details for a boat parade honoring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' win in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
The boat parade will start at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, on the Hillsborough River next to Armatureworks and proceed south and east past the Tampa Convention Center into Garrison Channel and around Harbour Island, then passing Sparkman Wharf and ending at Port Tampa Bay. You can join in if you have a boat or view the procession from anywhere along the Tampa Riverwalk or along the river and channel banks.
The parade is being planned in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies, Hillsborough County, and others wanting to celebrate while maintaining as much safety as possible in the middle of the COVID-pandemic. Masks are required along the route.
The Bucs win came just months after the Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup in September 2020, and the Tampa Bay Rays became American League Champions and the Tampa Bay Rowdies became Eastern Conference Champions in October 2020.
The latest news and information is expected to be posted by
the Mayor's communications team.
