xByte Technolgoies, an information technology reseller based in Bradenton, plans to double its workforce by 2016, with 10 jobs being created and filled by the end of the year. The reseller has been in business for 10 years and specializes in sales of servers, storage and parts for HP and IBM.
"We have roughly 10,000 clients internationally," says Stephen Jaynes, VP of sales at
xByte. "The growth we are experiencing has come in the last year due to our ability to give customers exactly what they need in a fast turnaround, sometimes even within 24 hours."
To keep up with demand and continue its growth, xByte plans to move to a larger facility.
"Our current headquarters is about 15,000-square-feet, however, we are looking to move to a facility with 30,000 to 50,000-square-feet in the next 12-18 months," says Jaynes. "We are working with the EDC to find a larger location in
Bradenton, however, we have not officially signed anything yet."
With the larger space, xByte will be able to accommodate a larger workforce.
"We plan to add 38 jobs by 2016," Jaynes says. "In the next six months, we will be hiring eight to 10 people in sales, operations and engineering."
More positions may be added later, including accounting, management and out-bound sales representatives.
"As we grow, we will look for people to call out to businesses who have never heard about us," says Ryan Brown, marketing director of xByte. "We are positioned very well online, but if someone is going to their local guy down the street for IT equipment, we want to get in front of those people as well."
