Current economic times pose additional challenges for a range of professional industries, including nonprofit organizations that have been impacted equally, if not more, by the recession.
The
University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee and the
Community Foundation of Sarasota County's Nonprofit Resource Center have partnered to create a
new certificate program to prepare emerging leaders for the challenges in today's nonprofit world.
The Continuing Education Certificate in Leadership and Nonprofit Management is a 10-week course open to potential and current nonprofit managers and leaders that will expose them to seasoned professionals who will cover: board development, marketing and public relations, leadership and coaching, organizational development and finance.
In addition to the program's course load, the certificate program will involve small group activities, case studies, speakers and networking opportunities.
Classes take place at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus and at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. The program begins on Feb. 4. For more information contact 941-556-7016 or click
