STUDIO-f at the
University of Tampa regularly brings together world-renowned artists, and this year it will celebrate their 20-year anniversary.
"The idea of STUDIO-f is to bring international visiting artists to the campus and invite the public to actually see them work in the studio," says Dorothy Cowden, director of STUDIO-f and the Bailey Arts Studio gallery.
Visiting artists spend two weeks at the studio, working in an open environment that allows for first-hand viewing and engages communication with the artist. One print from each series is also added to the Fine Art Permanent Collection of the University of Tampa.
The anniversary exhibit will feature STUDIO-f visiting artists, including return-exhibitors Audrey Flack, Joyce J. Scott and Sam Gilliam.
The
STUDIO-f exhibit began on Jan. 26 and will run through Feb. 25. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 am to 4pm, and on Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm. Admission is free. For more information and to see a list of featured artists, click
