Weaving arts into the fabric of the city and developing strong and stable arts organizations ranked among the "most important'' priorities cited by respondents to a recent online survey conducted by the
City of St. Petersburg to address the future of the arts and cultural development programs.
The questionnaire allowed residents to offer feedback on a variety of topics including: accessibility and diversity of concerts, festivals and specials events in the city parks and rec centers; expansion of neighborhood-based arts education programs and the development of partnerships and stronger artist support from corporations, businesses and foundations.
"Results of the survey are being utilized by the Arts Advisory Committee as one of the tools to redefine the City of St. Petersburg's Community Cultural Plan," says Elizabeth Brincklow of the city's Office of Arts & International Relations.
There were 520 respondents to the
survey.
