Virginia-based Engineering Services Network, Inc. (ESN) was recently awarded a contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which will bring jobs to the Tampa Bay region.
ESN is an engineering and technology solutions company that will provide specific software/system enhancements to the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). The goal of the project that ESN will work on is to improve the VA's ability to plan and track costs and expenditures, as well as manage claims and billing for services.
The jobs created in the Tampa region will be working with
Bay Pines VA in St. Pete. "Collectively there will be 20 contract positions," says Theresa Tarleton, senior program manager for ESN. "We will be hiring software developers, software quality assurance professionals and technical writers."
The contract terms are for 12 months, however, there is the possibility that the contract can be extended. To be hired for the project, Tarleton says potential employees need to meet certain qualifications. "For this work, moderate clearance is needed as employees will have access to certain records," she says. "Also, we are always looking for previous VA experience, as that helps as well."
Engineering Services Network's CEO Ray Lopez says that his company is excited to work with Bay Pines and support its operations. "The work being done at Bay Pines is really important, and we are happy to support them," Lopez says. "Bay Pines does a tremendous job, and they deserve support for the work they do."
