Clearwater Gets Festive For Holidays

The City of Clearwater, the Clearwater Downtown Development Board and the Clearwater Downtown Partnership, will host the city's largest Downtown Holiday Light-Up celebration on Friday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Station Square Park.

Charley Belcher, Fox 13 reporter, along with city officials and Santa Claus, will switch on the holiday lights on the 25-foot tree. In addition to pictures with Santa, there will be 40 tons of snow, two toboggan runs and holiday carolers. Wreaths from the second annual Wreath Decorating Contest will be on display from participants and the winners will be announced after the Light Up at 7:30 p.m. Attendees will also have a chance to vote on their favorite wreath for the People's Choice Awards.

Entertainment will be provided by the Heart Dance Band. Families also can enjoy a holiday bazaar, food, wine and beer for adults, raffles and prizes. The event is open and free to the public. For more information, click here.
