Burger 21, a fast casual dining restaurant in Tampa, is opening its second location in Carrollwood in October and plans to hire 75 employees. The restaurant, founded by the owners of The Melting Pot in 2010, offers a variety of burger creations, salads and desserts.
“We saw an opportunity to fill a void in the burger business, which has plenty of quick-service burger joints, a number of traditional, better burger establishments and even upscale, full-service burger restaurants,” says Mark Johnston, chief concept officer of Front Burner Brands, management company for
Burger 21. “The Burger 21 concept defines its own category, beyond the better burger, which offers quality, premium ingredients, innovative recipes and a gourmet experience without the gourmet price. ”
With the new location set to open in October, the company is eager to hire more staff.
“Burger 21 is hiring for 75 service and culinary positions,” says Lindsey Crowley, vice president of operations for Burger 21. “Management positions are available as well as back of the house positions such as sauce and grill line cook positions and front of the house positions, which include
movers, shakers and takers who are responsible for creating and delivering the Burger 21 dining experience to each and every guest.”
Crowley explains that movers deliver food, shakers prepare all shakes, freezes floats and sundaes, and takers take customers' orders. While many of the positions at Burger 21 are entry level, management level positions are available and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Burger 21 in Carrollwood is located at 11777 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa.
