The RNC 2012 Welcome Party at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg Sunday evening rocked the park as delegates and members of the media mingled and gnoshed over traditional Spanish paella, seafood ceviche, grouper sandwiches and lobster mac n cheese.
Performers included the Buccaneers cheerleaders, belly dancers, a fire eater named Amora, and other Busch Gardens singers, dancers and contortionists, including Cirque Dreams.
Music was performed by American Idol contestant Shannon McGrane, Rock a Doo Wop ('50s music) and Let's Get Loud (Latin music) from Busch Gardens with country music performer Rodney Atkins closing the show singing 10 songs, including the popular "Farmer's Daughter" and "Cleaning This Gun (Come on in Boy)."
The recording accompanying this slideshow was a crowd favorite by Southern Gospel quarter 2nd Chance.
