James Branaman specializes in storytelling through writing, photography and video and loves assignments involving both urban and wilderness explorations. Past projects have taken him scuba diving with sharks, documenting an erupting volcano and wading into alligator nests in the Everglades. His work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune. Since 2012 he’s served as Artist-in-Residence with Rocky Mountain, Acadia, Mesa Verde and Everglades National Parks, spending 2-4 weeks at a time living inside the parks working on projects with his wife,
83 Degrees Managing Photographer Julie Branaman. He is passionate about environmental issues and enjoys getting lost in the wilderness -- on purpose of course. Follow his travels on Instagram
